Mission Statement

Because we are loved by God in Jesus Christ (John 3:16), and are recipients of His grace and favour; we are called to proclaim the Good News of God’s love in the community, in the world, and to future generations.

Knox was established in 1903 as a congregation of the Presbyterian Church in Canada. In 1925, members of Knox voted to become a congregation of the newly created United Church of Canada. The building that houses the congregation was dedicated to the Glory of God on January 30, 1905. Knox has been served by sixteen clergy over the years. Twenty-four men and one woman nurtured in Knox have entered ministry within the United Church of Canada, with one member continuing her theological studies at AST at the present time. This congregation is committed to continuing in ministry as we face the challenge of being faithful Christians in an increasingly secular environment.

We welcome all who worship with us today. A very special welcome is extended to visitors and to those who are home for the summer holiday. We trust that this hour of praise and fellowship will inspire and bless you. Please introduce yourself to an usher, and please enter your name in our Guest Book so that we might have a permanent record of your visit.

Services return to 11:00 am on Sunday, September 2, 2007
